The sweet taste of friendship

This week has been filled with friends! I have had so much fun. My house was cleaned because I cleaned as I packed Christmas away, the meals for the week were planned out so now I could get out of the house and visit with some friends. I was able to meet some for breakfast, lunch, walk to starbucks (on the coldest morning this week) pray & plan for our Women's Ministry at Hope, visit one in the hospital and begin new friendships over coffee.

Friends add sweetness to our lives and they are gifts from the Lord. Having other women in our lives to laugh with, cry with, pray with and "grow" through life with. You may be thinking...."It's hard enough to carve out personal space, and family time let alone cultivate friendship." I know, I have a busy schedule too but if we ask God to help us manage our time wisely we may find some extra time here or there to spend some time cultivating our friendships. We know that it is important for our children to have good friends.......but it is also true for us as women. The Lord has blessed me with wonderful friends over the years. Some I have stayed connected with and some through occasional cards & always through prayer.

I am excited about some of the ways the Lord is opening up for us to deepen our faith in Christ through Bible study (the foundation) but He is also opening up opportunities for us to cultivate relationships with other women that we can share our lives and experiences with.

"Chocolate Covered Conversations"

This will be a time of sweet fellowship at different sweet locations where we can cultivate friendships with other women.

We will meet at a different woman's home where we will enjoy chocolate sweets, snacks and a relaxing time of getting to know each other. We are blessed at Church of Hope with some amazing women who have incredible stories to share.....it just takes a connection. My prayer is that you will not only deepen the friendships you have but uncover some new friendships
waiting to bloom in your life.

I am looking forward to connecting with you at our next "Chocolate Covered Conversation". You can email me any time I would love to get to know you - linda@hopeinocala.com

Chocolate covered conversations? That sound like it is right up my alley!
Hello my dear friend! I guess that I am one of those friends that you have stayed connected with through prayer! I am enjoying your blog, and as I view it and read, especially this post, it reminds me of the bond that Christ forms between believers, and how tightly it is often tied, even though there may be many miles between us. I am excited for what Team Cummins is doing in Ocala, and I know that God is smiling down on you. I pray that in Church of Hope women will form the bonds of friendship that only Christ can tie, and I pray that you continue to be strengthened in Him, doing for women in Florida what you have done for me in PA.
