You Are For Me

What a journey we have been on the past few weeks on discovering our worth in Christ. Last week we talked about transforming our minds from our old pattern of living and choosing to walk in freedom. Our past may explain our behavior but it cannot be an excuse. Our behavior will not change until our thoughts changs. We have to renew our minds daily....sometimes hourly.

Romans 12:2 - "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what the will of the Lord is."

Tonight we will see again from Psalm 139 and the woman at the well in John 4 that God loves us and He is for us.

If we truly believed that God loves us and He is for us.....there would be no question of our worth.

Jesus didn't ask the woman at the well in John 4 for a drink because He was thirsty. Thirst was the excuse Jesus used to have a conversation with her. He went out of His way and waited at the well for her.....not because He was thirsty but because He knew she needed the life-giving water that only He could give.

Women of Worth

We have had a great start to our Women of Worth Bible study.......highlighting the Truth that our worth is rooted, established and complete in Christ alone!

What are you worth?

I have struggled with this questionfor so many years. How we define ourselves and how we view our worth can be a very vulnerable place because what defines us will drive us.

In John 4 is the story of the Woman at the Well.....a woman who was defined by her life circumstances....her choices. She isn't very different from me or from you. Searching for love, affirmation, and worth.

Our worth/value is often deteremined by our past, our present, our family envirnment, the world's opinion of what is worthy or valuable. Our worth/value can be shaped by what others say about us or even to us.

Satan has targeted women from the beginning....in the Garden with Eve. You see he knows our worth and he wants to plant seeds of doubt inside of us that cause us to doubt God, doubt His love, our worth and value to God....."He must be holding out on me, He isn't giving me His best."....Lies from our enemy.

John8:44 - "When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

John8:32 - "Then you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free."

What does God say about your worth/value? Read Psalm 139 every day....read it in different versions and ask God to tell you from His Word what you are worth!
