Empty me, Father....

Empty me Father and fill me of YOU! Reveal to me what consumes my mind and heart and is distracting me from chasing after You. Clear everything away so that I can clearly hear your voice and fully comprehend Your love for me. You love me so much that You would rather die than ever live without me. "I am convinced that nothing can ever seperate me from Your love." ~ Romans 8:38

Breathe Your Word into my life and give me the courage to expose my fears, anxieties, insecurities, pride, anger, frustration and the need to control and then lay them at the foot of the cross so that I can live in Your freedom. Help me resist the temptation to pick them back up again.....help me to leave them in Your hands and Trust You with all of me.

Hebrews 12:1-3 - "...let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

NLT - "let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. "

"We are most useful to God when poured free of self and full of Christ."

2 Cor. 10:5 - "We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ."

Phi 2:1-11 - "Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

I have loved the teaching series, Breathe, that Mark has led us through at Hope, www.hopeinocala.com look under Media. It has strengthened, challanged & breathed life into me personally.
