Today's reading, Day 33, on our 40 Days of love Journey was a reminder to me to not become dependant on myself but stay totally dependant on God.....to Trust Him....no matter what I may go through on any given day. I don't know about you but because "life comes at you fast" and is filled with many twists and turns I can lose my balance and tend to rely on myself and then slip away from completely Trusting God.
I am so thankful that the Lord loves me so much that He gently reminds me to keep my eyes on Him and the Trust Him.
Here are a few of my favorite verses to get me back on track:
Psalm 103:11-14 - "For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust."
Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Lamentations 3:22-33 - "God's loyal love couldn't have run out, his merciful love couldn't have dried up. They're created new every morning. How great your faithfulness! I'm sticking with God (I say it over and over). He's all I've got left. God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks. It's a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God. It's a good thing when you're young to stick it out through the hard times. When life is heavy and hard to take, go off by yourself. Enter the silence. Bow in prayer. Don't ask questions: Wait for hope to appear. Don't run from trouble. Take it full-face. The "worst" is never the worst. Why? Because the Master won't ever walk out and fail to return. If he works severely, he also works tenderly. His stockpiles of loyal love are immense. He takes no pleasure in making life hard, in throwing roadblocks in the way:"
He gives us a clean slate everyday.....to Trust Him.....great is His faithfulness!
