Faithfulness

Galatians 5:22-23 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

Faithfulness - (n) Loyal, Worthy of trust, Accurate and Truthful. The fruit of faithfulness is definitely one of God's character traits. It His very nature of faithfulness.

Exodus 34:6 - "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,"

Psalm 36:5 - "Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies."

Psalm 86:15 - "But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness."

Psalm 89:1-2 - "I will sing of the Lord's great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations. I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you established your faithfulness in heaven itself."

Proverbs 3:3 - "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart."

Lamentation 3:22-23 - "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his com passions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

The spiritual fruit of faithfulness is an active response to God's faithfulness. As He keeps His promises to us, we mirror His faithfulness by keeping ours to Him. Faithfulness is being true to God and to others.
This is a hard fruit to let God grow in our lives because if you are like me you have experienced broken promises and pain from relationships. I have also experienced the faithfulness of God in my life and in my family. No matter what we go through in our everyday lives we can count on the faithfulness of God.....it will always be there....He is our constant. Thank you, Jesus!
True to God.......spending time with Him in His word, prayer and investing our lives.
True to others.......be like Jesus in our relationship with others. Be dependable, committed, and true to others in word and actions. This is where we demonstrate (live out) the faithfulness of God as it flows out of our daily walk with Him. The fruits of the Spirit are those God-like qualities that make us look like Him. They are His nature exhibited in our personalities.

3 John 1:3 - "It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell about your faithfulness to the truth and how you continue to walk in the truth."
