...as women we can have many conversations in a given day. I have conversations with my husband, my 2 girls, my friends, extended family, neighbors, strangers and even myself. My day can be filled with words but so many times I am left feeling empty, overwhelmed, frustrated & even lonely. I have found that the most satisfying conversation in my day is with the Lord. Psalm 63:1 says, "...early will I seek you, my soul thirsts for you...". Jeremiah 33:3 says, "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." and Jeremiah 29:11-13 tells me that the Lord has a plan for my life to give me a future and a hope. In vs.12-13 says, "then you will call upon me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I love vs 14 from The Message - "When you coming looking for me, you'll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed."
When I spend time with the Lord.....preferably in the morning because it sets the tone of my day....I am filled to love on my family and anyone I have a conversation with throughout my day. I am no longer looking for those conversations with others to give me hope, or satisfy me because I am already satisfied. When I am already complete and satisfied in Christ He makes every other conversations extra blessings - they become the icing on the cake, or the chocolate chips in the cookie.....it is extra. He is the only one who can truly satisfy us. 2 Peter 1:3-4 tells us that "his divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness."
I encourage you to have a Conversation of Hope with Christ - Ephesians 1:18 says, "I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints."

Linda,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and words of encouragement to all of us. Life is sometimes so "dusty" that it is hard to see the road ahead.
I look forward to watching and participating in the things God is going to do thru Church of Hope.
