another New Year's Eve

......we were in Daytona Beach last year to end 2007 & looking forward to 2008. We were relaxing as a family with great anticipation of a new journey for 2008.

We spent Christmas with family and friends in Ohio and Pennsylvania and then stopped off in Daytona Beach to spend time as a family before we came home. This would be a big year for us, we were moving to Ocala. We would experience not only a New Year but a new home, church, community and school as a family.

After a day in the sun and long walks on the beach we went out to eat to
the famous Longdoggers.

A restaurant famous for serious hot dogs with a surfing theme. A fun place filled with surfboards
& tiki huts. It was delicious!! What a wonderful way to end one chapter and then step off into a new journey.
As I reflect back on that day.....exactly one year ago today, I didn't know what this year would hold for us but I am more confident today than one year ago that God's Word is true & that He is faithful. I am reminded that He not only has a plan for us and He is constantly at work in our lives. He is preparing you for what He has prepared for you. In Proverbs 30:5 it says - "Every word of God is true and He is a sheild to those who trust in Him." We are to trust in Him with all our hearts, lean not in our own understanding, acknowledge Him in all you do and He will direct your paths. (Prov. 3:5-6) With each twist & turn, obstacle, or change in directions that we have faced this year I wouldn't trade where the Lord has us on this journey. We love living in Ocala, we love our neighborhood, the girls love their school and we especially love what God is doing in the birth of Hope, a brand new church in Ocala. God continues to bless our new Church of Hope and we look forward to 2009 as we partner with people to discover that......
In Christ we have Hope.....check it out at http://www.hopeinocala.com/
